Malcolm J. White has been a law enforcement officer
since January of 1994.
After graduating from the
Chicago Police Academy, Malcolm began
his career in law enforcement working
for the City of Harvey Police
Department.
After just two and a half
years, Malcolm was promoted to the
rank of detective and was assigned to
the Special Operations Unit of the
Harvey Police Department.
As a detective, he worked
undercover in joint operations with
both the Illinois State Police and the
Cook County Sheriffs Police
Department.
Through surveillance, narcotic
purchases and extensive intelligence
collection, Malcolm played a key role
in over 100 search warrants over the
course of 18 months.
In 1998, Malcolm J. White accepted a position with
the Hazel Crest Police Department.
As a patrolman, he attained
numerous State certifications
including Field Training Officer,
Evidence Technician and Firearms
Instructor.
From 2000 – 2005, Malcolm
served as the Union President of
Teamster’s Local 726 for the Hazel
Crest Police Department.
In
2005, Malcolm was promoted to the rank
of Deputy Chief of Police and was
assigned to oversee the Support
Services Division of the Hazel Crest
Police Department.
The Support Services Division
includes the detective unit, the
records department, and a dispatch
center.
In 2007, Malcolm was promoted
to the rank of Senior Deputy of Police
and was assigned to oversee the Patrol
Division of the Hazel Crest Police
Department; a position which he held
until his retirement in 2018.
Malcolm is a graduate of
Northwestern University’s School of
Police Staff and Command and holds a
master’s degree in Public Safety
Administration from Calumet College of
St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana.
In November of 2018, Malcolm J. White was appointed
Chief of Police for the Sauk Village
Police Department.
Malcolm has been with his wife
Lisa for over ten years. They have a
blended family of eight children and
currently reside in the south suburbs
of Chicago.
Since taking office in 2018, Chief Malcolm J. White
and the entire Police Department has
been dedicated to improving the
quality of life for each citizen of
the Village. Chief White is extremely
proud to lead the members of the Sauk
Village Police Department.
Despite having over 26
years of law enforcement experience,
Chief White recognizes the
institutional knowledge that each Sauk
Village Police Officer possesses.
These collaborative efforts
will continue to produce a bright
future for the Sauk Village Police
Department and the citizens that we
serve.
