The other members are “Paid On Call,” meaning they receive a monetary stipend for responding to calls and trainings.
In 2008, the Sauk Village Fire Department responded to 465 calls including (but not limited to) fires, vehicle crashes, fire & carbon monoxide alarms, and mutual aid calls to other communities.
The Fire Department fleet includes 2 engines, a squad/pumper, a 100 ft Aerial, 3 utility vehicles, a Haz Mat trailer, and a technical rescue trailer.
The Department’s Honor Statement is “Duty First - Honor Always.” To us, our duty is service, and service always brings honor.
